Not much to report this week. With the new Strongarm & Lightfoot book out, I can concentrate on the next Action Figures novel — which is shaping up more and more to be the last, but that yet may change.
The big challenge in wrapping up a series is figuring out how much to wrap up so the conclusion satisfies, but leaves room for future projects in the same universe. The series finale is going to knock down a lot of pins I’ve set up over the past nine years, but will end up setting up a lot more, so the question becomes, what is the best way to knock down those new pins?
For the record, as Carrie Hauser might say, I do have a project in mind set in the Action Figures universe that doesn’t feature the main AF cast or continue the core series storyline. What I need to figure out is whether that new project is the best place to start addressing the new questions raised in the series finale.
Guess we’re all going to find out together!
