Weekly Update – June 3, 2020

(Delayed by one day for #blackoutTuesday)

Slow-ish week last week. I’ve got a new project in the works, but I’m keeping it under wraps until something happens with it.

The big thing to talk about was an “online writers’ virtual coffeehouse” I hosted last week, which I based on a series of IRL events I’ve attended hosted by James A. Moore and Christopher Golden, two gents who are very generous with their time, advice, and encouragement.

Seven people joined me on the videoconference, and we had some great discussions about a wide range of topics, from the writing process to marketing and promotions. We’ll be doing it again next week, and if you’re a writer — of any kind, of any experience or interest level — you can learn more about it at my Facebook page. Go there and click on the “events” tab.

Action Figures – Secret Origins: Audiobook recording continues with narrator Jennifer McPherson. Tentatively set for late spring/early summer release.

Action Figures – Issue Ten: Unintended Consequences: First draft underway, tentatively set for a winter/spring 2021 release.

The Action Figures Omnibus – Volume One: This collection of books one through three — Secret Origins, Black Magic Women, and Pasts Imperfect — with new cover art by Tricia Lupien, is set for a mid-2020 release.

The Adventures of Strongarm & Lightfoot – Sworded Affairs: Audiobook in process, scheduled for summer 2020 release.

The Adventures of Strongarm & Lightfoot – Elfish Motives: Book five is in the plotting stages. Tentatively scheduled for a late 2020 release.
